Empowering Futures: Children In Need’s Remarkable 2023 Achievements Illuminate Hope and Transform Lives

Our hearts are bursting with pride as we unveil Children In Need’s “2023 Impact Snapshot”! Dive into a world of compassion and change as we showcase the incredible work our agency did this past year to support the children and families we serve. Thank you to everyone who supported our work along the way. Together, we can create a brighter future for every child and family in Washington County!

Essential items were distributed to clients through the Client Services Program including clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, shoes and more.

Volunteer hours from individuals, service groups and businesses.

Brand-new pairs of shoes were distributed to economically disadvantaged children as part of the One Foot Up shoe distribution event.

Washington County children received brand new toys for the holidays.

Children received free lunches at Children in Need over the summer as part of our Meal Machine partnership.

Children received $50 Back-to-School vouchers to Walmart for new clothing for the first day of school.

Emergency Requests from Washington County Public Schools and nonprofit agencies were filled through Children in Need.  These reqeusts were through the Extended Services Program.

Individual donation drives, including the 15th Annual Washington County Public Schools Clothing Drive.

Extreme weather emergency blankets were distributed to homeless students enrolled in Washington County Public Schools through partners and the Homeless Coordinator.

The number of outreach events that Children in Need participated in, including Babypalooza through Bester Community of Hope where we distributed 2,100 diapers, 48 containers of formula, 600+ baby clothes, 20 burping pads and 100 books.
